Geesthacht

If you follow the River Elbe to the North Sea, you'll come to the town of Geesthacht. Geesthacht lies on the green outskirts of Hamburg. It's ideal for people wishing to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. But its proximity to Hamburg is also appreciated. The hostel is situated high above the River Elbe. A forest starts right next to the hostel. While cycling on the popular Elberadweg cycle route, you can watch the big ships on their way to the sea.

Geesthacht on the Elbe

Geesthacht is characterised by the flair of the nearby city of Hamburg and the River Elbe, which flows through a large barrage at the foot of the town. Many guests take advantage of the excellent transport links, because Hamburg is easily accessible by bus and train. One highlight is the nearby high ropes course, which challenges its visitors to master stretches of the course of varying degrees of difficulty on a 8,000 m² wooded area. Cyclists will appreciate the Elberadwanderweg cycling route and a swimming pool, mini golf and bowling facility are also available.
